Pet Doctors Thorndon is looking for a Full Time Practice Manager to join our Wellington team.
This is a hands on leadership role where you will continue supporting veterinary nursing duties while guiding and developing a high performing team. You will work closely with our Lead Vet, alongside a skilled group of veterinarians and nurses, in a well established small animal clinic, conveniently located next to Wellington train station.

Whether you are stepping up from a senior nursing role or bringing established leadership experience, you will be supported with ongoing development and guidance from your Regional Manager and a wider network of Practice Managers. What you will be doing
- Overseeing the smooth day to day running of the clinic
- Managing administration including rostering, stock control and facilities
- Leading team meetings and driving communication
- Supporting performance, development and mentoring of the nursing team
- Coordinating training programs along with health, safety and wellbeing initiatives
- Working with management to achieve financial and operational goals
- Staying hands on with clinical nursing in a fully equipped clinic offering medical and surgical services, radiology including dental, and ultrasound
- Supporting reception and wider clinic duties as needed

- Small Animal Vet Nursing experience
